    Assessing Student's Documents in LiveText

    Before getting started, in order to assess or review students’ documents you have to make sure that;

    I.  They (your students) need to share it with you as the Reviewers/Assessors.  (Not Viewers nor Editors)

II. You need to have the rubrics shared with you.

Note:    - The rubrics have to be created by LHUP Graduate Admin account.
                - Make sure that you know where the rubrics are in your account.

    Instructions

    1. Click Reviews in the left hand side menus under the Collaborations menu.

    2. Click review of the document you would like to assess.

    3. The document will be opened and ready to be assessed/reviewed.

    Note

    A. add comment – you can click to add your comments for each section.

    B. Comment field – once you have clicked add comment the text field will appear for you to type-in the comment.  You need to click save after you are done with the comment.

    C. Green Area – you can easily identify the pages that you have already provided the comments.

    D. Assess – by clicking it, you can choose the appropriate rubric to assess the document.

    E. Submit – when you are DONE assessing/reviewing this document, just simply click Submit.  By clicking this menu, you have decided that you are going to release the comments as well as the rubric scores to the owner of the document (your student).

    F. Exit – on the other hand, click Exit if you are NOT DONE and are planning to continue reviewing it again.  In this case, your student will not be able to see the comments and rubric scores until you decide to submit it.

    4. Click Assess to choose the appropriate rubric.

    5. In the Assessment Chooser window, navigate to where, in you account, you have the rubric.  (In this sample, I have moved all rubrics to the Rubrics label.)

    6. Click on Select to use the rubric.  (If you are not sure, click View to open up the rubric.) Note: Look for the rubric that was created by LHUP Undergrad Admin account.

    7. The first time you click on Select to use the rubric, you will only see the rubric names listed and that you then need to click on Rubrics to show all available

    8. Enter the score in each rubric.  Important: Once you are done, do not close the window.  The data will NOT be saved automatically.

    9. At the end of the page, it is required that you provide the Reporting (A) type. (Practice or Official)  Other Comments (B) are optional.  Note: For the Reporting level, choose Official if this is your final assessment, otherwise choose Practice.
